Charity

This year's charity, as selected by R.W. Bro. James Bowman is The Perley Health Foundation.

The Perley Health Centre is a community serving 600 Seniors and Veterans from independent living to long-term care. The Perley Health Foundation supports each resident with a personal and family-centric approach to the continuum of care to improve not only their physical well-being but their mental and emotional health, too.

The Perley health Centre’s commitment to empowering Seniors and Veterans to reach their full potential is a pledge without bounds. Perley Health continues to actively invest in research and new methodologies in frailty-informed care and shares the results, best practices, and breakthroughs with the greater community – so that everyone can benefit to help seniors live life to their fullest.

We know that good is never good enough. The health team of PSWs, nurses and staff continue to seek a higher standard of excellence. Be it a daily quality improvement, safety standards or long-term planning; the team prioritizes excellence across every facet to benefit Seniors and Veterans.

As we look to helping the lives of Seniors and Veterans, this year’s aim is to raise enough funds to purchase 4 bladder scanners at $7,400 per so that PSWs can better diagnose patients with bladder issues. A small investment that can make a great impact on the lives of patients with urinary problems.

Again this year, donations from the brethren to the Perley Health Foundation will flow through the Masonic Foundation, who will provide a "top up" to further leverage our generosity.

Tax receipts will be issued by the Masonic Foundation at years end for income tax purposes. Thank you for your support to this most worthy cause.
